I have lived in the village since 2013. I had previously been a parish councillor in Kings Langley, Hertfordshire for 10 years throughout the 1990s and enjoyed serving a large village community. I have also served as a Local Government Councillor for Dacorum between 1995 and 1999.
My work as a self-employed consultant on homelessness means I am commissioned by Councils across the Country and combined with my experience as a parish and district Councillor, means I have a good understanding of local government. I hope this could be helpful to the parish council as further powers are devolved to parish level in the future.
Since arriving in the village in 2013 I have been made so welcome by all and I would be proud to serve the community of Brafferton and Helperby in any way that I can.
