My name is Angela Horner. My husband and I have four children, six grandchildren and a border terrier called Sid, so life is busy! We have lived in Brafferton since 2006 and love living here. It’s a vibrant community with so much to offer – somebody asked me recently if living in a village was a bit dull – they have obviously never been here! I’m involved in a couple of village groups, including the Helperby Literary Society and HADDS, the village drama group. I also regularly attend Bootcamp on the sports field on a Sunday morning.
I work as an Associate Director for Browns Department Store in York on a part time basis and have for the past few years helped my husband run his business as an agent for a German fashion brand. I currently also sit as a voluntary Director on the Board of the York Business Improvement District.
In my spare time I enjoy keeping fit, yoga, reading, walking and the theatre.
As my husband is now retiring, I have more time to contribute to village life and am delighted to have taken a seat on the Parish Council. I look forward to being of service!
